2022 Emswiller Interprofessional Symposium

Adapting and Advancing: IPE in a Post-Pandemic World. The 10th Annual Emswiller Interprofessional Symposium, hosted by the VCU Center for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Care, will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, Virginia. Limited options (TBD) will be available for remote participation for those individuals unable to travel to attend in person.
We welcome submissions focused on interprofessional education at any level or interprofessional collaborative practice in any setting, particularly those that address the them of the symposium, Adapting and Advancing: IPE in a Post-Pandemic World. Submissions should describe either (a) an innovation that has been implemented and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness, or (b) a research/scholarly project that has been completed. Work previously presented at other meetings is welcome.
You will select your preferred session format when you submit your abstract, and you will indicate whether you intend to present in person or prefer to participate remotely. Presentation formats for accepted proposals will be determined by the planning committee following the abstract review process and conveyed to those presenters whose abstracts are accepted. There will be three types of sessions:
- 15-minute Oral Presentations
- 60-minute Workshops/Seminars
All abstract submissions will undergo peer review. Abstracts must be submitted electronically by the stated deadline and include the information below. We suggest creating your abstract in a word processing document and pasting it into the submission form. Tables, figures, and images are not permitted in the abstract.
- Presentation Title
- Synopsis/Brief Description (< 30 words)
- Complete Abstract (< 600 words) using the following headings (select the terminology for each section that is most appropriate to your submission):
- Results/Learning Outcomes
- Discussion/Implications/Lessons Learned
- Name, Institutional Affiliation, and Email Address for Lead Presenter/Author
- Name and Institutional Affiliation for Other Contributing Authors
