Chain Reaction Innovations: Cohort 4 Call for Applications
This year CRI’s call for applications has expanded to encourage innovations in sustainable energy production and use that can leverage the expertise and tools at Argonne National Laboratory. All industry sectors where advances in sustainability are needed are encouraged to apply, with a particular call for innovations that can support the needs of the electric power sector. Areas of note that fall into the expansion of our call include (but are not limited to): grid-level energy storage, transportation charging infrastructure, vehicle-to-grid integration, solutions to decarbonize heat, electrical system resiliency, industrial system electrification, building efficiency, and reuse and life cycle extension of critical power sector materials including those found in batteries. Additionally, in line with growing initiatives at Argonne, CRI encourages applications from innovators who leverage AI and machine learning as tools for innovation within the energy sector. CRI continues to encourage and seek innovations in advanced materials and manufacturing that support the advancement of sustainable energy.
