CONFERENCE THEME

The Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education (ANTSHE) invites academic professionals, advisors, administrators and nontraditional students/ leaders to submit proposals for presentation at the 2018 conference. Success for the adult learner depends on cohesion from multiple perspectives. Our theme: The Fight for Academic Equity: Creating Social Cohesiveness Between the Adult Learner and College, suggests that administrators, faculty, and the students themselves must work together collaboratively in order for the student and the college to be a success. Creating social cohesion between the adult learner and the college creates stability. Creating a sustainable model of people working together to achieve the same goals strengthens the bond that holds these together and prevents conflict from emerging again. While many institutions still embrace the 18-20 year old being the typical college student, evidence and statistics have shown that this is not the case. The shift in enrollment has demonstrated that the adult learner is now the "new-traditional student."

The call for proposals will remain open until February 20, 2018. All proposals will be reviewed and individuals chosen to present will be contacted within 14 days of submission.

This call is no longer accepting submissions.
