The World Social Marketing Conference welcomes abstracts for a range of presentations that demonstrate original work that “integrate(s) marketing concepts with other approaches to influence behaviors that benefit individuals and communities for the greater social good,” (iSMA, 2013). Submissions may fit into one or more conference tracks, described below. The most successful abstracts will describe the formative research, process, and/or outcome evaluation of social marketing work to influence behavior change. Interactive sessions, collaborative sessions and panel sessions are also invited via the abstract submission process.

5. Equality, diversity and inclusion 
6. Climate action, environmental and species protection
7. Advertising & marketing communications
8. Human-centered, responsible and sustainable tourism practices
9. Interdisciplinary and cross sector action

The World Social Marketing Conference will be held at the University of Alicante, Spain.  Watch for updates on the conference website https://wsmconference.com/alicante-2025 

REVIEW 
Sumissions to the conference will be reviewed on an on-going basis, so as soon as your submission is made it will be issued for review and the status of your submission confirmed within four weeks of your submission date. Programme places will be allocated on a first accepted first served basis so we advise getting your abstract in early.

TERMS OF ACCEPTANCE AND ATTENDANCE 

  • Primary Contacts will be notified of the status of their submission. If your submission is accepted, one author must attend the conference, pay the registration fee, and present the work. Every session must be represented by a paying registrant. 
  • By submitting a proposal, you understand that any and all registration fees and travel costs are your responsibility.
  • Accepted proposal presenters are expected to, by September 19, 2025:
    • (1) register and pay registration fees, 
    • (2) confirm the final roster of presenters / those attending to present your work
    • (3) provide your presentation slides for the event (later revisons and submissions of these are allowed).
