The Conference

Promoting Equality and OK-ness: Healing the Divisions in Our World is a Transactional Analysis Conference, co-sponsored by the Southeast Institute for Group and Family Therapy, International Transactional Analysis Association, and the USA Transactional Analysis Association. We are professional psychotherapists, counselors, consultants, educators, coaches, and many other professions of people who help others to live happy and healthy lives.

This conference celebrates 50 years of working for racial, economic, and social justice at Southeast Institute for Group and Family Therapy. Our present cultural moment calls for narratives of inclusion and equity that foster human dignity and worth, and build cooperation among diverse communities and individuals, as antidotes to competition and exclusion. Historically, Eric Berne believed that all people have worth, value, a right to dignity, and the capacity to think for themselves. These foundational tenets remain uniquely suited to respond to this moment--with individuals, groups, and communities. We seek advanced proposals from a diverse group of presenters related to equity, inclusion, and social action within and across the four  fields of TA application: Psychotherapy, Counselling, Education and Organizations, as well as other relevant approaches.
