Call for Student Posters for the NACNS 2027 Annual Conference in Kansas City, Missouri!
Conference theme is Amplify.
Student Poster Submission Opens: Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
Final Deadline for Student Poster Submission: Sunday, September 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET! (there will be no deadline extensions)
Student abstract decisions will be communicated by the end of November 2026. Communications will be sent to the email address used in your Proposal Space account.
The National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists’ (NACNS) 2027 Annual Conference will take place at the Loews Kansas City Hotel, March 1 - 4, 2027.
We are interested in clinical and non-clinical topics related to nursing practice, variety of patient populations, physiological systems (cardiovascular, neurological, endocrine, etc.) pharmacology and pharmacokinetics, and professional practice (billing, documentation, CNS outcomes, ethics, electronic health records, healthy work environment, patient safety, etc.).
NACNS Student Abstract Submission Requirements
Eligibility
Student abstracts are invited from graduate CNS students enrolled at the time of submission. The primary author must be a student. Faculty or clinical mentors may be listed as co-authors but may not serve as the presenting author.
Authorship and Disclosure
- All authors and affiliations must be listed at the time of submission.
- The student must be clearly identified as the presenting author.
- Disclosure of any relevant financial relationships or conflicts of interest is required.
- Institutional Review Board approval or exemption status must be indicated for research studies.
Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the NACNS abstract submission portal by the stated deadline.
- Edits will not be permitted after the submission deadline.
- Abstracts must represent original work that has not been previously presented at a national conference at the time of submission.
Review Criteria
Student abstracts will be peer reviewed and scored using the following criteria:
- Clarity and organization
- Relevance to CNS practice and NACNS mission
- Scholarly rigor and methodological soundness
- Innovation and contribution to nursing or healthcare
- Quality of writing and adherence to submission guidelines
Student Presentation Expectations
Students whose abstracts are accepted must:
- Register for the conference at the student rate
- Present during the assigned session
- Be available to discuss their work during designated presentation times
