AVTE eagerly welcomes session proposals for its 2026 Annual Conference scheduled for Friday, July 31 - Sunday, August 2, 2026 in Portland, Oregon. Pre-courses will be held on Thursday, July 30. Our theme this year is Trailblazing Together: Every Path Leads to Better Care.

As the premier gathering for veterinary technician educators, our annual conference unites hundreds of people within our community for three days of networking, education, and rejuvination. Join us at the Portland Hilton, where we will continue our tradition of featuring top-notch talks from our community. Our conference committee seeks engaging sessions that spark conversation and interaction on critical topoics, especially those vital to our members but not regularly heard.

Conference sessions include a variety of formats, including traditional conference breakouts, rapid-fire talks, and round tables. 

If you are passionate about the following, we encourage you to submit your proposal.

• Advancing quality education in veterinary technology
• Introducing innovative teaching methods
• Fostering interactive learning experiences
• Discussing mental health, wellness, and burn out in the field

To ensure the best educational experience possible, submitted proposals will undergo a thorough peer review by the committee and the board. Submissions are due on Monday, February 2, 2026. By submitting a proposal, you agree to actively participate in the conference and adapt your presentation as requested.
