Call for Presentations: 2026 NASW-NC Virtual Clinical Social Work Institute

NASW-NC

NASW North Carolina invites you to submit a proposal to present at the Virtual Clinical Social Work Institute occurring on May 11-12, 2026!

About The Clinical Social Work Institute

The Clinical Social Work Institute is one of NASW-NC's flagship conferences and will be held virtually on May 11-12, 2026. The Clinical Social Work Institute offers 1.5-hour virtual workshops for clinical social workers. The attendees of this conference hail from across North Carolina, with others joining from other states and other countries!

NASW-NC is requesting relevant virtual workshop presentations for a social work audience ranging from associates to advanced clinicians. We are seeking proposals for 1.5 hour presentations. ALL topics and submissions are welcome and will be considered.

Who Can Present?

Our presenters play a vital role in the conference, sharing information and expertise across a wide variety of topics. NASW members and non-members are invited to submit a presentation. Presenters can submit for 1.5-hour sessions. Keynote sessions are considered for 2 hours. Please note that there is a limit of 2 proposal submissions per presenter. As our conferences are fully virtual, submitters should be comfortable with presenting in a virtual format. Since the event will be held via Zoom Webinar, submitters should understand that their workshop will be "lecture style" and their session will not have the option for participants to turn on their cameras or be in breakout rooms. Engagement occurs with participants via chat, Q&A, and polling questions if desired.

Why Should You Present?

  • Presenters can share their expertise with a large number of social work professionals in North Carolina and beyond (over 600 social workers joined us in 2025!)
  • Presenters have promotion of their name and credentials in our conference brochure, which is listed on the website and sent in emails marketing the conference, as well as some social media spotlights of sessions.
  • Presenters gain free attendance to the conference as well as an honorarium.
  • Since the conference is virtual, presenters can provide quality education from wherever they are located!

 What About Presentation Topics?

All topics are welcome and will be considered!

The deadline to submit a presentation is January 31, 2026. After the deadline, submissions will be reviewed by our Continuing Education committee and Education Program Manager, and final selections will be made. All submitters will be notified by the end of February whether their submission is selected or not. Note: We cannot provide additional feedback to those who are not selected.
