2026 SACAC Annual Conference - Call for Session Proposals
SACAC
2026 Theme: Opening Doors. Changing Lives. A 60th Anniversary Celebration.
March 22-23, 2026 – Sheraton New Orleans Hotel
Submissions must be completed by Monday, October 20th. Communication about the status of session proposals will be made by the end of November.
For each proposal submitted, we ask for title, session description, learning objectives, audience, and topics covered.*
Here are some topics that SACAC members have suggested – use them for inspiration, but please feel free to be creative: national trends and external influences in admission, leadership development and cultural fluency, supporting underserved students, career and staff development, mental health and wellness within college admission counseling, emerging topics in post-secondary education, secondary counseling and students, technology in college admissions, college admission requirements, and access, inclusion, and equity trends and initiatives in higher education.
Additionally, consider the constituencies usually in attendance and their professional growth needs: public/charter/private high school counselors & administrators, two- and four-year college admission and financial aid officials, community-based organization officials, independent educational consultants, inclusion and equity practitioners, just to name a few.
For each presenter, we will need the following information: degree(s) received and subject area, name of the degree-awarding institution, certifications/professional affiliations, and contact information.*
