FTA 2026 Call for Proposals

Financial Therapy Association

The FTA is excited to announce the call for presentations for our 2026 Annual Conference, which will be held June 4-6, 2026 in Austin, Texas at the Hyatt Regency. Please read on for more details pertaining to FTAC26 and how to submit a presentation proposal!

Our Conference Theme: The Future of Financial Therapy: Where Empathy Meets Innovation

This year’s theme, “The Future of Financial Therapy: Where Empathy Meets Innovation,” invites us to explore how our field continues to evolve, blending technological advancement, trauma-informed practice, and financial activism, while remaining grounded in human connection and emotional insight. In a time of rapid change, we aim to envision a future where innovation serves healing and equity.

Attendees can expect inclusive, application-focused programming that supports deeper learning and professional growth. Through thoughtfully curated learning pathways, participants will be able to engage with sessions that meet them where they are and stretch their thinking, skills, and creativity. Whether you're refining your clinical approach, expanding your research, or exploring interdisciplinary collaborations, the conference will offer content to challenge and inspire.

FTAC26 is more than a professional gathering—it’s a space to connect, co-create, and shape the future of financial therapy together.

Our Conference Goals: We hope to explore the evolving future of financial therapy by offering application-focused sessions that deepen learning, highlight diverse and equity-driven practices, foster meaningful connection across roles and disciplines, and elevate student contributions through engaged academic participation.

Who Should Submit: Persons interested in the cognitive, emotional, behavioral, relational, economic, and integrative aspects of money. Mental health and financial professionals, academics, scholars, and students in the practice, research, or in scholarly pursuit of financial therapy and financial therapy-related topics. All topics related to financial therapy are welcome.

FTA recognizes that economic disparity and systemic racism, prevalent in our society, are barriers to achieving mental and financial well-being. FTA is committed to minimizing these barriers through advancing diversity and equity in our practice with clients/patients, research, and within our organization. We welcome and invite all people regardless of race, religion, culture, socioeconomic status, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and disability to participate, speak, or attend this year’s conference.

Conference Format: FTAC26 will offer flexible, thoughtfully curated learning pathways to support deeper skill development, applied learning, and professional growth. Whether you're a clinician, researcher, educator, or student, the conference will offer opportunities to engage with content that challenges your thinking, strengthens your practice, and sparks innovation. Sessions will be organized to help attendees navigate topics that align with their personal and professional interests.
