Abstract

The University of Edinburgh launched Leganto in June 2017, going live immediately with a multi-team workflow that enables us to manage the provision of course materials, including acquisitions, digitisation requests and moves to reserve collections via the Resource Lists service. One of the main drivers to move from the previous system was the opportunities presented by Alma and Leganto to streamline library workflows and create the necessary efficiencies to allow us to grow and support the Resource Lists service at scale. This presentation will outline the approach taken, roles and responsibilities of teams using Alma and/or Leganto, challenges encountered and the inevitable workarounds. The presentation will look back at the benefits and successes of using the workflow in the first full academic year and touch on elements to be reviewed and improved for next academic year.
