Session Description

This interactive session will explore how to collaborate with other local colleges, professional development associations and training providers to meet customer demands, create innovative programs, and strengthen each provider’s niche in the marketplace. Participants will learn strategies to create programs and classes through an innovative and iterative process, analyze ways they can work with their competitors, and discover new programming ideas they can implement back at their institutions. In addition, this session will challenge participants to think innovatively and explore new clients, programs, and trainings.

Alex Read, Sacramento State College of Continuing Education
Brief Bio

Alex is a Program Manager in the College of Continuing Education at Sacramento State University. Alex has been working in the Education Management field for over 12 years. In his current role, Alex manages the development, implementation and delivery of professional development certificate programs, which serve the community and local employers. Alex is also the past president of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in Sacramento.

Hei Fok, Sacramento State College of Continuing Education
Brief Bio

Hei Fok designs and conducts program research, analysis, reporting, and evaluation to achieve effective development and delivery of contract training programs. He also performs fiscal analyses for the College of Continuing Education (CCE) to determine methodologies, systems and steps to achieve specific programmatic goals. Prior to joining CCE nine years ago, Hei worked at Sacramento City College’s Learning Skills and Tutoring Center for 10 years as an instructional assistant. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business operations management, a second bachelor’s degree in art studio, and a master’s degree in art from Sacramento State.
