Abstract

Foster children experience multiple traumatic events within their personal lives and often face additional hurdles at school. Learn how school counselors and social workers can collaborate to support these vulnerable students in developing resilience. Walk in the shoes of students in foster care with case studies from a creative and engaging elementary counseling group. Leave with your eyes opened to the needs of students in foster care and tools to support and advocate for them.
