Session Description

Been in the profession for 10+ years? Interested in hearing from some of our “seasoned” professionals who have weathered the ups and downs of college admission and school counseling? All their journeys have taken different paths, but one thing remained in the forefront, serving students to the best of their ability. Are you a part of the next generation of leaders who will emerge to “weather the storm” in our professions? PCACAC will be an organization to offer support and provide opportunities to guide your decision-making as you continue on your counseling journey.

Jeannine Lalonde is an Associate Dean of Admission at the University of Virginia. Her blog, “Notes from Peabody,” and social media channels (@UVADeanJ) provide an in-depth look into the admission process at UVA. Jeannine has been a faculty member at PCACAC’s Summer Institute for several years and has served on the Common Application’s Applications Advisory Committee. Prior to her move to Virginia in 2005, Jeannine was Senior Assistant Director of Admission at Olin College of Engineering in Needham, MA. Jeannine has a bachelor’s degree from Providence College and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Boston College.
