Proposals relevant to holistic nursing are requested in the broad categories of practice, research, education, praxis, personal & professional development, aesthetics, nurse coaching, and advanced practice. Submissions are anticipated to reflect the conference purpose & theme.


The purpose of this conference is to enable participants to embrace, empower and inspire nursing practice through heart centered communication, theories rooted in holism, disciplinary knowledge and authentic presence.


We are living in a dynamic, rapidly evolving time of complex challenges and untold opportunity. Holism is a solid foundation upon which we can create an envisioned future of true whole-person caring.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Create new levels of insight and application of holistic philosophy, theory and ethics in holistic nursing praxis. 
  2. Explore innovative pathways designed to nourish and strengthen holistic self-development (self-awareness, self-reflection, self-care) in personal and professional growth. 
  3. Creatively apply the science of holism into healthcare approaches to facilitate health, wellness, and wellbeing in diverse populations regardless of the health care setting. 
  4. Analyze opportunities for holistic nurses to assess and address local, state, national, and global healthcare needs. 
  5. Equip holistic nurses with communication skills and resources that strengthens their voice, comfort and ability to participate in health care evolution.
  6. Examine groundbreaking approaches to inquiry, including educational paradigms, research, evidence-informed practice and quality care.
  7. Appreciate interconnectedness as a shared experience among all sentient beings.

Research paper presentations are allotted a 15-20 minute segment of a 1-1.5 hour research presentation session.
