CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Adult education in an era of accelerated technological innovation

Adult and continuing education programs/organizations have historically served as sites for incubating innovative approaches to education and learning. Adult educators are increasingly utilizing these technological innovations to provide specific program and learning opportunities to meet the increasing demands of adult learners in a multitude of contexts.

We invite you to submit a proposal to our upcoming conference and commission pre- and co-conferences to celebrate and share the broad array of accelerated technological contributions from across the diverse field of adult and continuing education. We welcome presentations from practitioners, faculty, graduate students, trainers, instructional designers, and program administrators. Previous workshop and poster topics have included innovative teaching practices, case studies from international learning projects, and examinations of adult learning theory, to name only a few. The common factor linking all accepted proposals is relevance to and advancement of adult teaching and learning. More information on the areas in Adult and Continuing Education can be found at2018 Proposal Areas.

General conference sessions will be held: October 3-5

Commission on International Adult Education (CIAE): September 30-October 2
Commission on Distance Learning and Technology (CDLT) Pre-conference: October 2
Commission of Professors of Adult Education Co-conference: October 4
